When I got up in the morning today, I realized it was going to be very very hot. So I canceled my trip to the desert and went to Descanso Gardens instead. If you've never been there, this is a very nice, 200 or so acre, botanical garden up the 2 freeway in La Canada.
It was a gorgeous day for a two hour or so walk among the trees, flowers, rose bushes and such with insects and birds flying all around.
I snapped the picture above in the native plant section of the garden. For a spur-of-the-moment snapshot, I think it came out very nice.
