Some events planned

I just purchased tickets for two events coming up in the next couple of months. On July 4th, I'm going to the Kaboom fireworks, monster trucks and monster motorcycle show at the Pomona fairgrounds. I went last year and it was great. Last year I got tickets in the first level bleachers, and this year I decided to get a little closer and got trackside seats. On the 4th, I'll also probably go down to Huntington Beach and see their 4th of July parade. That's a nice parade to watch.

I also purchased front row (row 1) and center ring seats for the Ringling Brothers circus at the staples center on July 21st at 7:30pm. I went to that last year as well, but this seat is much better than those! Just like last year, I'll take the subway down. My pictures from last year: www.sitefromtheheart.com/2005-...ex.htm

I know some people don't like the circus, but I found it interesting looking at all of the people, both the performers and the public. The whole thing is fascinating to me. Later in the year, I'll see if I can find the cirque de solei and go to that too (never been there).

And for the weekend of the 17th, I'll be going cherry picking! It's at a place called Northside Cherries www.northsidecherries.com in Leonna Valley. I was thinking about going the weekend of the 10th, but I called ahead and was told there was going to be a parade and the place was going to be packed! So the 17th sounds better for me. I went cherry picking as a kid, and about 12 years ago, and it was fun.

Wow!! You keep busy!

If you can, you MUST see a Cirque show. I've only been to one, granted, but it was AMAZING.

Cherry picking!?! Is it that season already? Time is flying by...how fun!
