Ready for tomorrow

Fri, August 11, 2006 - 3:20 PM

Well, I've done just about everything I need to to get ready for tomorrow. If you remember, I'll be going up to big bear to go the Renaissance fair for the whole weekend.

I just dropped the dog off at the kennel. Hades will be spending the next couple of evenings with a whole bunch of other dogs. He doesn't particularly like the kennel, but there isn't much of a choice about it. I'll pick them up Monday afternoon when I get home from work. One thing I know is he'll be very happy to see me.

I've got the camera ready and I plan to take lots of pictures. I purchased another 2 GB card for the camera so if I take more than a couple of thousand pictures I will have space for them. My costume is ready. A room is reserved for me in big bear. I have the directions printed out from MapQuest. Plus I even have a laptop charged up and ready to go so that on Saturday evening after the fair I can look through the pictures and move them from my camera card to the laptop's hard drive to get ready for Sunday.

But the funny thing is, I already miss my dog. That's very interesting to me; when I first got Hades I didn't like him at all and he didn't like me either. But now were best buddies. Who would've guessed?

My two cats, tabby and baby, will spend Saturday and Sunday by themselves. I'll make sure to leave them enough food and water. They've been by themselves for two days many times in the past and they do just fine. But they are very happy to see me when I get home.

It's going to be a very fun weekend.

It must be nice to be able to leave the cats for 2 days. I have just the one (21 lbs of fur and love) and he MUST have someone look in on him daily.

Of course, he's like a goldfish- if I left a ton of food out, he'd eat himself to death. Ah well.

Have a good time this weekend!!

I'm headed up (as far as I know right now) on Sunday... have to catch at least one of the Doom shows...

Looking forward to wandering a faire out of costume!
