I think I might go see Shakespeare by the Sea in South Pasadena on Thursday evening at 7pm. I've actually never seen Shakespeare outside of faire, so it should be fun.

Shakespeare is always worth seeing. If you know which play it will be in advance, and have the time, read it before you go. You'll understand it better if you've read it in advance. Or maybe that's just my take as someone with a master's degree in Renaissance and Medieval English literature. In any case, it tends to help people who aren't as familiar with Elizabethan English catch more of the plot if they've read the play in advance. Even Cliff's Notes would help.
