Here's more about the event I mentioned earlier:
On Friday, June 23rd, Huntington Library is having a members open house. It runs from 5pm to 7:30pm, and visited can wander through the garden. There will be tours of the Desert Garden, Rose Garden and Japanese Garden (the desert garden is my favorite).
They will also have period photos from the early 20th century, a selection of antique cars, and the original Huntington guest book. Henry and Arabella Huntington themselves will be giving a tour.
There will be theme music in each of the three gardens, and they will have a place to play croquet and badminton. They will also have a collection of exotic birds on display, plus lectures on the estate.
Sounds interesting, doesn't it?
