Possible cancer. More tests needed, and a visit to a specialist. Or possibly nothing at all. If Tabby continues to throw up, see a specialist, otherwise ignore it.

That's a whole lot of money to spend for so little an answer. Were they at least able to make him more comfortable? When my fifteen year-old cat was ill, the vet's assistant suggested a heating pad for her old bones, and microwaving the extra-stinky cat food they sent her home with to tempt her appetite.
