Carrera 5/Transposer

Tue, May 30, 2006 - 5:57 PM

Ah, I am in the throws of a decision. I purchased a 3D graphics editor called Poser several years ago, and it's pretty cool. The interface is a bit strange, but you can do almost anything 3D that you want. The coolest thing is people make characters, costumes, props and background and sell them, so you can get pre-made stuff for almost any desire, then pose it however you want.

Now a product called Carrera has come out. transposer allows all of the things for Poser to be transported into carrera.

Carrera is another very cool 3D program, and it retails for over $400 (and transposer is a couple hundred on top of that). There is a special, ending tomorrow night to get both for $95.

I like 3D graphics and these programs are great. Decisions decisions. Do I purchase these now or skip the sale and hate myself later? Will I actually use these programs?

Any thoughts?

hehehe

I totally understand about the graphics... I wasn't that impressed w/poser.. but know folks who like it... and I understand that it is 'better' than it was in '97 ... but for $95... if I had the extra $95, I would get it!

And I am sure that you will find the 'round tuit' to use the programs!
