Yesterday I went up to San Luis Obispo and had a great time at the faire. More about that in a later posting.
I was going to stay up in SLO for the night, but based upon some urgencies going on at work, I decided to make the trip home immediately. I stopped at Anderson's Pea Soup (about an hour south of SLO) and had dinner. It was good, but I must say tht the quality of Anderson's has really slipped.
I got home about midnight and found my street closed. That is actually one of the main reasons why I was going to spend the night - there is an event on my street and no way for me to get my car to my apartment. Luckily, I found a parking spot close by and walked home.
A couple of minutes later my Lojack Early warning went off. This pages me whenever my car is moved if I am not in the car. So I ran down to the parking spot (in my PJ's, so it must have been quite a kodak moment) and found my car was fine. Probably someone bumped it or something. As I rushed to my car I noticed the street had opened and thus I was able to put my car safely where it belongs.
Due to the work urgencies, I didn't get to sleep until well after 3am, and didn't wake up until after 10am (which is incredibly late for me). Thus, my plans for Sunday were pretty much blown - not that I felt like doing much anyway.
My body feels like a sack of wet, cocked broccilli. It's a combination of the heat, humidity, a full day at the faire, faire dust, a long drive home and a bit of frustration. I don't feel bad, just icky.
So I've been lazing around all day, not doing much of anything. This is very unusual for me...
